This was actually good for me, since the new schedule was more suitable for me. However, frankly speaking, I did not expect that much in this occasion, since I had only 4 Mpx old and discontinued pocket camera. Even so, I felt better compared to my feeling in the previous resemble occasion on Raja Ampat in the beginning year. Around a week or two before the D day, I got confirmation that I could participate in this occasion and I had to send photo and other necessary data; And I got information that all participants would use chartered plane from Makassar to Tomia Island continued with small speed boat instead of using big slow boat to reach the destination, but for that I had to pay more, which was okay too for all participants.

I had prepared most of the gear on Sunday, because on Monday I would not have enough time f...

Sukamantri Camping - Bogor

GPS: Entrance S 06o 40,501' ; E106o 45.070’
I haven't been camping for a while.. plus Jakarta was so hot; Needed to go to a cool place..
A friend of mine from the mailist asked me to join him to camp to Sukamantri, less than 10 km South west of Bogor. The last 2 km was a damned crazy stone road.

However, the camping ground was good, plus great companions, made this occasion great!!. Very simple meals n 'fire' liquid were in place boosting the happiness.
August supposed to be cold month in the dry season, but that was okay for me, long sleeve t-shirt with glove and socks were enough for me to enjoy the chilling nite in the open air. At 3.40 a.m. I was moving into my car to sleep for two reasons, cold and 'sound'... :)
After having breakfast, I went to waterfall near the camping ground, there were two waterfalls from the same creek..
I hope you know what I meant by 'waterfall from the creek'...

Tips:
Better use 4WD, eventhough 2WD would be able to reach

Ranah Minang. This trip had been scheduled for such a long time, more than 3 months ago, but the itinerary was only developed for only few days before the D day. Lucky me, that I had enough information to set up this trip in a very short time. All the data, such as accommodation and car rental were in the pocket. So the accommodation plan was to stay one night in Echo Resort, Harau; two nights in Bukittinggi, Novotel Hotel; and one night in Pemda Cottage in Danau Kembar. Surely the points of interest would be in the surrounding area where I stayed. I had been so excited several days before the schedule.

Only two days before I went to Sumatra I called and booked the hotel and car rental.

Ranah Minang - Jalan-jalan & Blajar

Hema - Dutch Resto - 2007/01/14

Hi, welcome again!!.. I try to write in English, since I haven’t written English for such a while… Please, pardon me should I make lots of mistake 

I never planned to go to this resto.... It happened by accident
After I flew from Surabaya with limited lunch on 14 Jan '07, I was starving by the time I arrived in Jakarta. I caught the airport bus and continued using taxi to take my car in the office. While I drove home, I was deciding to find close resto in the way home to have early dinner since the time was about 5.30pm.

I was thinking about Soto Ambengan, but then I changed to have dinner in Bakmi TOKO TIGA at TIS Square, Tebet. That was the first time I went to TIS Square, since that place was named as TIS Square. I forgot the name of that place before it changed to TIS Square. After I entered the parking area, I remembered that I had been there before and had lunch several months (or years?) ago. I changed my mind again, and I chose DOME resto just few yards next to Toko Tig...

Singapura, kerjaan en hunting (barang) titipan (29 Nov - 1 (2) Dec 2006)

What ever…

To me, bisa iya bisa enggak…

Sedangkan ticket aja masih status waiting list….. Hotel?? Juga dah full, tapi sejelek2nya bisa share deh, he3x. Yang bisa gue lakukan hanyalah meng-extent trip sehari on my own account supaya bisa ngiter dikit sa...
